Guillaume d’Folie leaves the service of his father and takes the vow of a Questing Knight. His father is murdered shortly after and his house falls under control of his shit uncle.
After coaxing from his advisers, the elderly and infirm Emperor Luitpold is moved to consider his legacy as father to the Empire, and reverses a centuries-old ban on the printing press, allowing books to finally be printed in large numbers. Previously the technology had been associated with the rapid dissemination of scandal and heresy, but Luitpold establishes grants for several respectable printing houses to produce legitimate works. The rest of the Old World soon follows suit.
The Tzeentchian warband of Heidi Mengele rampages across the frozen North.
Archaon gathers the Six Treasures and anoints himself at the Altar of Ultimate Darkness, then begins his invasion of the Old World. The Empire unites with the Slayers of Karak Kadrin to push them back, supported by Bretonnian forces under the command of Duke Bohemond Beastslayer and the Lothern Sea Guard under the command of Sea Lord Aislinn. Opportunistic attacks by Skaven Clan Eshin, the Waaagh! of Grimgor, and the Army of Sylvania further complicate the effort.
Sensing the impending catastrophic rise of Chaos and wanting to hedge her bets to protect Naggaroth in her son's absence, Morathi renews her ancient vows to Slaanesh. She travels north, beyond the watchtowers, to the Hung who have long harassed the country. There, with a small group of sorceresses, she summons a small army of 360 Daemonettes to lay waste to the Kurgan enemies of the Hung, and wins their allegiance. Upon her return with her new allies, she consecrates a new Temple of Slaanesh in Naggarond, and makes plans to advance the cause of the Ruinous Powers without provoking any reprisals from the civilised world.
Karl Franz’s second son, Sigismund, is born. His wife is unable to bear any more children.
No longer content to tolerate the presence of High Elves on Naggaroth's shores, the Witch King interrupts his harrying of Ulthuan to lead an assault on the port of Arnheim. A Hoethite priest named Vinzi begs for lenience, swearing fealty to Malekith's cause in a desperate bid to reduce casualties. He is slain immediately, but Malekith is goaded by Vinzi's pathetic display. He leaves the city standing and renames it Tor Hesh. A group of refugees from the city flee westward to the Red Desert, and swear revenge. Led by students of the temple, they interpret Vinzi's betrayal as a sacrifice, and call themselves the Cult of Vinzi the Reclaimer, or the Vizinites.
Morathi personally leads a reprisal of Plunder in the Jungle, ensuring that the Slann and their lackeys will be no obstacle to the Ruinous Powers should Archaon succeed in capturing the Empire—or to disrupting the Great Vortex if Malekith should succeed in laying waste to Ulthuan. However her efforts fall somewhat short of genocide, and are mainly concerned with stealing artefacts. Lokhir Fellheart obtains the Helm of the Kraken from Chupayotl.
In Morathi's absence, Hellebron marches on Naggarond, determined to restore the supremacy of the Cult of Khaine. Her forces are met by the depraved Anointed of Slaanesh and by the loyal Sorceresses of the Convent. Though the individual elves comprising the Cult of Pleasure's forces are the better fighters, they are greatly outnumbered by the Khainites, and eventually the fighting grinds to a standstill with no clear winner. Since Malekith still has not commented on his mother's doings publicly, the rest of druchii society politely avoids statements of loyalty to either side. But it is an uneasy peace—bands of Tong and Hung still roam the interior of the continent, fighting for territory against the Shades, who know the terrain better. and in the coming years, as it becomes apparent that Naggaroth no longer has a use for Morathi's private army, they are gradually driven back underground by Khainite violence.
The forces of Archaon are defeated and flee northward, signalling the end of the Storm of Chaos. Valten, Chosen of Sigmar, disappears, and is presumed dead.
Dante, Laurenor, and McCallum trek through dwarf lands to the Border Princes, recovering various dwarfen artefacts along the way.
Following the retreat of the Chaos armies from the Old World, Malekith makes the bizarre announcement that the Cult of Pleasure is voluntarily disbanding and that overt worship of Slaanesh will no longer be tolerated. Morathi avoids public appearances, and retreats into seclusion at Ghrond. Thousands of Hung are slaughtered that same night, but many more remain at large in Naggaroth's interior, along with innumerable Fiends and Daemonettes. Hellebron returns to Har Ganeth, weakened and empty-handed.

Siege of Skeggi by the Skaven clan Pestilens. The city initially holds out due to the actions of a few well placed heroes and a united band of misfits and pirates, but falls a few months later to Lizardman reprisals.
The Destruction of Hexoatl. A tear in reality occurs, along with the death of a Slann of the Second Generation. Countless daemons pour forth from the tear and slay many thousands of Lizardmen before the wound can be sealed. Recounted in the Plaque of Tutki-Wol as the ‘Day of Rain’. Reprisal attacks from the Lizardmen slow from this point on, allowing more colonies to be established in Lustria.
The Great Flood. Disturbances in the jungles of Lustria precede a power felt in the Dark Lands, after which the world's oceans and seas creep exactly ten miles inland, devastating many coastal towns and cities. Only the temple cities of Lustria and the island of Ulthuan are spared this disaster. Despite the devastation, Manann has become one of the most widely worshipped gods of man, though no few say this was the work of his enemy Stromfels.
The travels of Lunk the Ogre Maneater, Ivan (and his sister Eva) the Priest of Manann, and Couronne the Blue Wizard. Later they are joined by Guillaume d’Folie, a Questing Knight from a cursed bloodline, and an elf from Marienburg named Althsalael Swiftbow.

The party of Wolfram Peltzer, Ottilia Kantner, Glumba Polumba, Clancy Kelly, and special guest star Diziet Sethai defend the village of Kolbhugel from a Carnival of Chaos. He is thereafter known as Wulfkular, Warrior of Chaos, and first sets his sights on retaking his family estate in Nordland.
Following intrigue at the White Tower of Hoeth, Archmage Monea Aethyrscape flees to her druchii half-brother's villa on the mainland. She instructs her half-brother to assemble a group of useful retainers, to save both his business and prove her innocence, but they prove to be a disappointment. After journeying through the Gryphon Wood, the Ulrican warrior Klaus Blucher, the witch Salomè Radici, and the giant elf Akkar Wavechaser emerge to discover that history itself has changed as a result of the meddling of a Nurgle Sorcerer, Bronkheleus Bileheart. Mordheim is a towering metropolis, Waldenhof is the seat of an Elector Count, and Sylvania is a fully-fledged Imperial Province with its own Runefang.
Following the newly-revitalized unicorn Adrasteia, five heroes (General Klaus Blucher, Prelate Salomè Radici, Witch Hunter Captain Ottilia Kantner, Ogre Butcher Nakk Gorebreath, and Gold Magister Volkhard Überroth) defeat the Mortuary Cult Priest Neferkahor in his desert lair, ending the curse that has beleaguered Klaus, Salomè, and their former companion Akkar Wavechaser for some years. Newly unburdened (and flush with enough wealth to buy the entire Imperial Gunnery School), they make haste back to Mordheim, to slay their archnemesis, the Nurgle Sorcerer Herman Poxheart...
Its members go their separate ways.
Witch Hunter Captain Otillia Kantner retires to motherhood with her new husband, the Master Gold Wizard Volkhard Überroth.
